Pregnancy or Breastfeeding
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, BOTOX® and dermal fillers are not recommended. While there are no confirmed studies showing harm, the lack of research means these treatments are avoided during this time. Pregnancy-safe facials and skincare options are available as alternatives.
Certain Medical Conditions
Underlying health issues—such as certain autoimmune disorders, bleeding disorders, or active infections—may make injectables unsafe. Your provider will review your full medical history before recommending treatment.
Medication Interactions
Some medications, especially blood thinners or immunosuppressants, may interfere with how your body reacts to injectables or increase the risk of bruising and complications. Always disclose your current medications during your consultation.
Skin Infections or Irritations at the Injection Site
Active cold sores, rashes, or other skin issues in the treatment area should be fully resolved before receiving BOTOX® or fillers. Treating inflamed or compromised skin can increase the risk of adverse reactions.
Why Consultations Matter
Every injectable appointment at Pure Skin includes a one-on-one consultation to evaluate your eligibility and create a safe, personalized plan. Even if you’ve had treatments before, we reassess each visit to ensure nothing has changed in your health or medications.
BOTOX® and fillers can deliver beautiful, natural-looking results—but only when administered with care and consideration. If you're unsure whether you're a candidate, book a consultation with our experienced team at Pure Skin. Your safety always comes first.
