What is BOTOX®?

BOTOX® is a neuromodulator derived from botulinum toxin. It works by temporarily paralyzing specific facial muscles, preventing them from contracting and causing wrinkles. It's commonly used to treat forehead lines, crow's feet, and frown lines between the eyebrows.

The Treatment Process:

Consultation: Your journey begins with a consultation at Pure Skin. Our experienced professionals will assess your facial structure and discuss your goals.

Preparation: On the day of the procedure, the treatment area will be cleaned, and a topical anesthetic may be applied to minimize discomfort.

Injection: Using a fine needle, BOTOX® is injected into the targeted muscles. The procedure typically takes 10-20 minutes.

Post-Treatment Care: You can resume most normal activities immediately. However, avoid strenuous exercise and alcohol for 24 hours.

Recovery

Recovery from BOTOX® is generally quick and easy. Here are some tips to ensure a smooth recovery:

  • Avoid Touching the Area: Refrain from rubbing or massaging the treated area for at least 24 hours to prevent the spread of the toxin.
  • Stay Upright: Remain upright for at least four hours post-injection to avoid migration of BOTOX®.
  • Follow-Up: Schedule a follow-up appointment at Pure Skin to assess the results and discuss any concerns.

Potential Side Effects

While BOTOX® is generally safe, some individuals may experience side effects, including:

  • Bruising and Swelling: Minor bruising or swelling at the injection site is common and usually resolves within a few days.

  • Drooping Eyelids or Brows: In rare cases, BOTOX® can cause temporary drooping of the eyelids or eyebrows.
